ABOUT THIS SPECIAL PILOT PRODUCTION — Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile: The Musical JR bursts onto the stage with a vibrant musical experience. Living in a brownstone house on East 88th Street in New York City, Lyle communicates verbally only through song. As he forms strong bonds with his human friends, Lyle helps them overcome their fears and find their confidence. Based on Bernard Waber’s beloved picture books, this energetic musical showcases new compositions by EGOT-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, renowned for their work on The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen, James and the Giant Peach, and La La Land. Adapted by librettists Timothy Allen McDonald and Sara Wordsworth with vocal arrangements and incidental music by Daniel Mertzlufft, this family-friendly celebration combines humor, heart, and spectacular songs that will leave audiences of all ages singing along with joy.
