Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 case numbers and subsequent mask order extension for our county of operation, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person camp programming for the remainder of summer 2020. Foremost is the safety of our students, their families, our staff, and our community, and we do not feel comfortable with the risks of exposure and transmission at this time.
As you can imagine, this year has been extraordinarily difficult for our organization and other arts organizations of our kind across the country. We are focused on building an adapted model for musical theatre education for the upcoming school year, including the launch of our long-awaited “iConservatory”—an audition-based, limited enrollment musical theatre training program where students complete online schooling at our facility then attend in-person intensive dance, acting, and musical training classes as part of their school day. We will be issuing more information in the coming days about iConservatory and are excited to offer a solution for families seeking enhanced schooling options and performing arts education for the upcoming year.
We are also excited to announce the return of our “Zoomsical” programming with another online summer camp July 20-31. The show will be either “The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley: Online Edition” or “Dear Edwina: Online Edition”, pending final licensing arrangements. This Zoomsical will rehearse for 2 hours each day (3pm-5pm) and conclude in a streamed performance July 31 at 4pm CT. Enrollment is open to anyone age 10-19. We are also exploring the idea of a Zoom-based play (non-musical) for younger students ages 7-16. Register for our next Zoomsical on our ‘Summer’ tab!
As before, we are happy to offer the following options for your summer camp tuition paid:
• Transfer registration to one of our online summer camps.
• Receive a credit back to your Inspiration Stage account that you can use for any future Inspiration Stage class, camp, or production. This credit does not expire.
• Gift your tuition paid in full or in part to support our organization.
• Receive a refund for tuition paid.
